HELP YOUR CHILD CREATE A PERSONAL AND
SPIRITUAL CONNECTION TO CHANUKAH

Designed to enrich holiday traditions for children and families, The Chanukah Activity Book, new from the URJ Press, is overflowing with games and activities to use during the Festival of Lights, whether in a classroom, at home, or in congregational family education settings. Judy Dick, the author of The Seder Activity Book, has filled this new book with activities for children and their families to do on each of the eight nights of Chanukah.

As the candles burn and the latkes sizzle, your family can experience Chanukah in a whole new way, learning about its history, singing Chanukah songs, playing Chanukah games, and having fun. Children will enjoy such activities as Maccabee word games, coloring their own chanukiyot, and discovering the symbols, rituals, and history of this holiday. Most of all, The Chanukah Activity Book allows children to begin creating a personal and spiritual connection to Chanukah.

Judith Dick is the author and illustrator of children's books and educational products, including The Seder Activity Book and "Jewish Holiday Building Blocks Set." As Education Curator for the Yeshiva University Museum, Judy works with children and the arts on a daily basis, giving her a unique sense of how to make history rich and exciting for children. Her illustrations combine historical flavor with a contemporary art style.

The Chanukah Activity Book is available in paperback from the URJ Press and retails for $8.95. For more information on this and other titles, visit the URJ Press Web site at www.URJPress.com or call (888) 489-8242.
