Transcontinental’s 2009 Composer of the Year is featured with several great pieces in this release. This particular English rendition of Psalm 150 (“Praise God In His Sanctuary”) was commissioned in honor of the 150th anniversary of New York City’s Temple Shaaray Tefila.
This new setting of Psalm 150, in English with a contemporary translation by Charles Davidson, can be accompanied either by organ or by piano four-hands. A grand, majestic, and awesome setting of this traditional text, it is only about four minutes long and deceptively easy to learn.
